In Case of Financial Collapse is a limited-edition sculptural work by I Am GPIO, built around an original Block Erupter USB Bitcoin miner mounted on a custom black PCB and presented in a deep shadowbox frame. 

Framed behind glass with the instruction “In Case of Financial Collapse – Break Glass,” the piece balances humour, nostalgia and critique, turning an early fragment of Bitcoin mining hardware into a contemporary artefact. 

Designed, assembled and signed in the UK, it references the defiant culture of Bitcoin while preserving a genuine piece of home-mining history from 2013. 

Both collectible and conversational, the work sits somewhere between technological relic, design object and satirical commentary on trust, money and self-sovereignty. Block Erupter USB Bitcoin miner is fully functional.
