Memes are the art of the internet and have played a pivotal role in Bitcoin adoption. In the spirit of memes, this painting rides on the meme of the WW1 recruitment poster that has become well known in Bitcoin circles.
This piece is a meme of a meme of the original poster.
The first version of this piece was painted for the one of a kind Bitcoin history book by Smashtoshi, BIT. It is an ultra-premium limited-edition physical art book that showcases 128 unique art pieces and featured articles from leading artists and authors in the space, exploring the history of bitcoin.
The first version portrayed the story of Hal Finney's invention - Reusable Proof-of-Work. RPOW was a significant early step in the history of digital cash and was a precursor to Bitcoin.
This version is a collaboration with the bitcoin art magazine and the bitcoin trading cards.
Limited edition of 21.

Yonat Vaks is a multi-disciplinary artist who tells stories of humanity as a way to reflect on modern ideas.
The medium in each work is part of the message and ranges from reinterpretations of cultural artifacts, ancient mediums, painting, sculpture and textiles.
Her work has been exhibited and belongs in private and public collections around the globe.
She has been telling the story of Bitcoin since 2017.
