FREE Samurai by House of Ralfus
Artist Name and Artwork Title:
FREE Samurai by House of Ralfus
Description:
FREE Samurai - the call for freedom, in every form.
The piece began as a tribute to the Samourai Wallet founders - a statement of solidarity with the right to transact privately, to hold one's own keys, to be left alone. From there it grew into something larger and more personal: a meditation on freedom across every dimension of life. Freedom in transacting. Freedom in expression. Freedom in money. Freedom in breath. Freedom in dream, in choice, in the energies around us, in the realities we create.
A samourai figure stands beneath a rising sun, drawn directly in Derwent Tinted Charcoal and Caran d'Ache Luminance over a Hahnemühle Museum Etching giclée. The giclée base is produced by a Hahnemühle Certified Studio and Fine Art Trade Guild approved printer using 10 Colour UltraChrome HDR Pigment Ink on Hahnemühle Museum Etching paper (350 gsm, 100% cotton). Mounted with a custom-cut single mat behind glass in an antique solid wood frame. Finished with an engraved solid brass plaque ("House of Ralfus") and the artist's signature.
The verso is dressed in natural jute linen, hand-stamped with the House of Ralfus mark, the monogram, the block height 837389, and the artist's signature R973.26. Olive green velvet ribbon details run vertically and horizontally across the linen, with the certified authentication hologram S13205 set at the centre.
Two stamps carry the meaning. 837389 is the Bitcoin block height marking a moment of personal freedom for the artist - first arrival in El Salvador for The Halving Party by The Meme Factory, and the first in-person meeting with the Bitcoin community. R973.26 has become part of the artist's signature, carrying forward from the original Twitter handle "ralfus973" with "26" marking the year of creation.
A unique 1/1 work, certified by hologram S13205.
Freedom is the artist's deepest personal value. This piece is the visual statement of that value, made permanent.
